By BBN Staff: BBN has received reports about a major and serious road traffic accident involving a football team from Benque Viejo Del Carmen.
A men’s football team was travelling to Santa Martha on Hummingbird highway.
They were coming around a blind corner and another vehicle was overtaking on the hill coming down causing them to swerve to the edge of the road, and the pickup truck they were in, slid down the verge.
The police, BDF and ambulance arrived at the scene to aid those involved in the crash.
According to reports, 6 persons were seriously injured.
The victims were transported to the Belmopan Hospital
