By BBN Staff: This morning at the ITVET compound in Belize City, the Minister of Education Patrick Faber, CEO’s in the ministry and general managers of schools met to determine their arrangements for next week’s planned industrial action by the Belize National Teachers Union (BNTU).
Information we have received is that, they have decided to hire additional teachers to hold over classes during the time that members of the BNTU are on strike.
Unconfirmed reports are that in the meeting today, discussions were that if the strike is extended to Wednesday, other teachers will take their posts temporarily.
