Environmental Clearance is required by law and an Environmental Clearance Plan is not transferable between developers, entities or companies.
A release from the Department reminds all owners who have purchased property for which the previous owner was granted Environmental Clearance, that since it is non-transferable; they must apply to the DOE for clearance under their own company or entity.
This is done to ensure that developments in Belize operate under the best environmental safety standards.
