By BBN Staff:The Belize Bureau of Standards (BBS) has announced that World Standards Day will be internationally observed on October 14, 2016 under the theme “STANDARDS BUILD TRUST”.
The BBS says that, “This year’s theme highlights that standards in everyday life instill trust and create a uniform experience that gives customer’s confidence in the products and services that they utilize.”
To commemorate this special day, the BBS will conduct a workshop on “Good Standardization Practices and an Introduction to the Drafting of Standards” from October 11- 13, 2016 at the Best Western Belize Biltmore Plaza in Belize City.
The workshop aims at building the capacity of the Bureau’s Technical Committee Members and key stakeholders to better contribute to the development of national, regional, and international standards.
According to the BBS, the workshop will ultimately allow for the strengthening of the standards development process in Belize to deliver quality standards that will be used and implemented by relevant stakeholders.
For more information on the workshop, BBN readers can call the BBS office at 822-0446 or 822-0447.
