By BBN Staff:Following the breaking news of the drowning of a teenager in the Riviera area behind Quality Poultry Products in Belmopan on Sunday evening (http://www.breakingbelizenews.com/2016/10/09/breaking-teenager-drowns-belmopan/), BBN has confirmed that the victim is 19 year old Gian Bethran from Belmopan. Divers from the area retrieved Bethran’s body the morning after the drowning happened.
Gian Bethran was a popular and likeable young man who was furthering his education at the University of Belize.
A candlelight memorial service for Gian is being held on Thursday, 13th October at Site 7 Park in Belmopan and the UB Student Government is asking his fellow students to make every effort to attend.
