By BBN Staff: Earlier today about 25 residents and UDP supporters held a protest in front of the Santa Elena Primary School demanding that the school gate be opened and that BNTU branch president, and Principal of the school, Mr. Manuel Medina, resign.
A video has surfaced on social media showing the protestors, including UDP Chairman, Alberto August, requesting the police officers to step aside so that a Ministry of Works employee break open the lock on the school’s gate.
The video has caused an uproar on social media with Belizeans expressing disgust at the fact that this act occurred in front of the police who failed to act to protect the property.
