By BBN Staff: Residents in the Belama phase two area of Belize City have raised concerns to BBN over the lack of security they now feel in their community because of the condition of the police station in the area.
According to them Precinct 4 of the North side police substation has not been operational since the devastation of Hurricane Earl.
When BBN visited the precinct which now resembles an abandoned home, we noted that the roofing was gone, faulty wires were hanging all around and water had seeped into the area.
When we spoke to senior north side officers we were told that the station has been moved to another location. However, we were not told exactly where nor were we told if or when precinct 4 would be repaired.
BBN will continue to monitor this story for more developments.
