By BBN Staff: In June 2011, Edward Lord Jr was gunned down on Mahogany street, Belize City.

Police had apprehended Nelson Henry,30, and at the time Magistrate Sharon Frazer believed that they had sufficient evidence to charge Henry for the murder.

The trial began in April 2012 at the Supreme Court.

Yesterday morning, Henry appeared before Justice Adolph Lucas but things changed since former police special constable Catherine Parchue,33, refused to testify.

According to reports from 7 News, Parchue remained quiet when the Crown Counsel asked her questions.

Parchue was the diarist at the Mahogany Street Police Sub Station on the day of the murder.

The Crown Counsel then requested Justice Lucas to grant an adjournment so that they could get police corporal Mark Humes who recorded the statement to attend court and testify.

The trial was adjourned until Monday, September 18.
