Sunday, August 23, 2015. BMG: The National Meteorological Service of Belize is predicting mostly sunny skies and warm weather is expected today and partly cloudy skies tonight with little to no rainfall.

Winds blow from the East at 5-15 knots and the sea state will be light chop – choppy.

High temperatures today are expected around 90 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 98 degrees Fahrenheit inland and a comfortable 84 degrees Fahrenheit up at the exposed areas of the Mountain Pine Ridge and along the Maya Mountains in the south.

A high tide is expected this afternoon at 4:29 pm and a low tide this morning at 11:11 a.m.

The Sun will set at 6:13 pm this evening.

The extended forecast into tomorrow night calls for continuing warm and mostly dry weather.

Tropical Weather Outlook

Tropical Storm Danny was approximately 350 miles East-Southeast of Antigua at 6:00 a.m this morning, centered near 15.7N latitude and 56.7W longitude. At that time, Danny was moving West at a speed of 15 mph with sustained winds of 50 mph.

The National Meteorological Service of Belize informs that tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 48 hours elsewhere in the North Atlantic, the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico.
