By Aaron Humes: The annual Labour for Belize initiative of the Belize City Council took place this past weekend.
For the last five years, the clean-up campaign has mainly taken place on streets and highways in the Old Capital; however, the city council decided to change locations this year. As Mayor Darrell Bradley explained, the focus for this year will be on playgrounds and parks around the city.
Bradley reminded that it is important that on a holiday recognizing the importance of the working population, Belizeans give something back to their community.
