Four Southside Belize City residents charged in drug bust but one accepts culpability

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Four residents from Southside Belize City were charged with drug possession after police found 67 grams of marijuana. Theresita Orosco, her relatives Kareem and Kirk Orosco, and Jair Garcia appeared in Court #4 on Thursday. Kirk Orosco pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply, while the others pleaded not guilty.

Kirk, a first-time offender, was fined $500 plus $5 court costs, payable by June 21, 2024, or face two months in prison. The charges against the others were dropped following his guilty plea.

The drugs were discovered on May 29, 2024, at a family property on Ebony Street, leading to the arrests. Kirk Orosco admitted ownership of the marijuana, explaining it was well hidden on the property.
