Partridge Street resident charged with drug trafficking

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Paul Anthony Vanzie Jr., 29, of Partridge Street Extension, was charged with drug trafficking after police found 124.6 grams of cannabis in his home. Vanzie appeared in Belize City Magistrate Court, pleading guilty to possession simplicitor but not guilty to possession with intent to supply. As a first-time offender, he avoided jail time and was fined $150 plus $5 court costs, payable by August 30, 2024.

On May 31, 2024, police, armed with a search warrant, found Vanzie at Cox Tire Shop and escorted him to his home, where they discovered multiple bags of cannabis. He was subsequently charged and taken to Mahogany Street Police Station.
