By Horace Palacio: Belizeans can expect a mix of sunshine and showers over the next few days as moist and unstable conditions dominate the weather patterns, according to the latest forecast from the National Meteorological Service.
The 24-hour outlook predicts sunny skies with occasional cloudy spells, transitioning to cloudier conditions overnight. While the northern coast will likely experience a few showers and thunderstorms this morning, the rest of the country can anticipate isolated showers, becoming more frequent along the coast tonight.
Temperatures will range from highs of 89°F (32°C) along the coast to 99°F (37°C) inland, with cooler conditions in the hills.
Marine conditions will see light and variable winds shifting to easterly to northeasterly directions at 5-10 knots, with slight seas and waves of 1-3 feet.
The outlook for the weekend suggests cloudy skies with isolated showers or thunderstorms on Saturday, increasing in frequency and spreading across most areas by Saturday night.
