By Horace Palacio: The Belize National Meteorological Service has forecast relatively moist and unstable conditions for today with scattered showers and thunderstorms expected throughout the day.
The morning will begin with cloudy skies and isolated showers, intensifying into thunderstorms in the afternoon, particularly over southern and inland regions. By nightfall, most areas can expect precipitation.
Coastal areas will experience temperatures between 81°F (27°C) and 88°F (31°C), while inland temperatures may soar to 95°F (35°C). Hilly regions will see milder conditions, with temperatures ranging from 68°F (20°C) to 82°F (28°C).
Marine conditions will feature light chop with 2-4 foot waves and E-SE winds at 5-15 knots.
The outlook for Monday predicts continued showers and isolated thunderstorms.
High tide is expected at 11:22 AM, with low tide at 7:07 PM. Sunrise was at 5:17 AM and sunset will be at 6:26 PM. The moon will rise at 8:05 AM and set at 9:39 PM.
