Premier Women’s League of Belize: Napoles face off against Sagitun GIRLZ in semifinals

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Third-seeded Napoles of Belmopan will face the second-seeded Sagitun Girlz in the first leg of the Premier Women’s League of Belize semifinals on Sunday. The match is scheduled for 4:30 pm at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium in Belmopan

The Sagitun GIRLZ, who won the last National Amateur Women’s League championship organized by the Football Federation of Belize (FFB), finished the regular season in second place with 24 points from ten games, three points shy of leaders Jewel Fury.

Napoles finished in third place with 18 points.

The return match will be held next Saturday at the Michael Ashcroft Stadium in Independence.

The other semifinal series between Jewel Fury and Caribbean Tire was called off after Caribbean Tire withdrew. On Wednesday, Jewel Fury blasted Caribbean Tire 12-0 in the last match of the regular season.
