Belize Weather: Showers dot Sunday forecast

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Conditions remain moist and potentially unstable across Belize according to the National Meteorological Service. Skies today will be sunny with cloudy spells and tonight cloudy at times. A few showers and thunderstorms will affect mainly southern and coastal areas this morning, inland areas this afternoon, and the center and south of the country tonight.

High temperatures peak at 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 92 degrees inland and 80 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 80 degrees along the coast, 75 degrees inland and 69 degrees in the hills.

Winds will be easterly to southeasterly at 10 to 15 knots and seas choppy. Operators of small crafts should exercise caution. Winds may become gusty and seas locally rough in heavy showers and thunderstorms.

Tides will be high at 10:17 this morning and low at 5:56 this evening. The sun sets at half past six this evening.

On Monday, skies will be cloudy at times. Showers or thunderstorms will be isolated, with a chance for a few more over the south Monday night.
