By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Argentina defeated Canada 2-0 at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Tuesday and advanced to the final of the CONMEBOL Copa América 2024.

Argentina had already defeated Canada by the same score in the tournament opener.

Lionel Messi scored the second goal chipping a shot by Enzo Fernández in the 51^st minute to secure the 2-0 win for Argentina.

Julián Álvarez slammed in the opening goal in the 22^nd minute.

Argentina will now face the winners of the Colombia-Uruguay match slated for 7:00 pm at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina on Wednesday.

Colombia, who sport a 27-game undefeated run, will be facing a tough Uruguay side that ousted Brazil on penalty kicks after playing more than 15 minutes with only ten men in their semifinal encounter.

James Rodríguez leads Los Cafeteros against Darwin Núñez and captain Federico Valverde, who are at the helm of Los Charrúas.
