By Aaron Humes: A couple who recently moved in together in the village of Lemonal, Belize District, wound up in court after an argument escalated to alleged use of weapons.
But the counter-charges between Kenrick Wallace and Brianna Gibson were mutually dropped in the Magistrate’s Court.
Police charged each with wounding and damage to property. It is alleged that Gibson inflicted wounds on Wallace with a knife and damaged several items and vice versa.
Gibson said she didn’t intentionally wound her partner, claiming he walked into the knife. She was offered bail and the matter was set to go a trial until Wallace chose to withdraw the charges and Gibson did likewise.
